Before we get into any tutorial, it’s important to prime and perfect your nails. This will help the nail polish last longer and make your nails look like you got them professionally done—score! Starting off with bare nails, file them down for a clean edge and then proceed to buff them for a shiny and smooth surface. Finish off with a basecoat and you’re ready for the next step.
Tutorial 1: Ombré Sparkles
Step 1: To start off with the base, you’ll need to apply two coats of a nude nail polish and wait for that to dry. A nude polish is great for this because it’ll make any glitter pop and compliment any sparkly dress.
Step 2: Now it’s time for that sparkle! Apply a thick coat of polish to the tip of your nails.
Step 3: Before the sparkles dry, bring down the sparkles with a clear topcoat. Be sure to have the sparkles more concentrated at the tips while having them fade out towards the nail buds.
Step 4: You can repeat step 3 with another glitter polish to add dimension or leave it as it is. Apply a clear coat to prevent chipping and you’re done!
