This is the perfect opportunity to finally do what I’ve been meaning to do for years now and that is to ask: “Why won’t everybody just get off Britney’s back?” I know this may seem like a ridiculous question considering she’s an international megastar, with millions of fans worldwide, not to mention the millions of dollars in her bank account, but there are “Britney Haters” lurking everywhere nowadays and I dare to ask, “Why?”

Truly folks, what’s to hate? Is it that she’s a platinum, award-winning artist? Maybe it’s the fact that she has a team of people producing her image round the clock that bothers you. Is it the millions upon millions of dollars that she makes annually from the adoring public? Is it her fabulous dancing? Her splendid wardrobe? Her virtuous image? Her overplayed, overly produced music? Could it be that her magnificent face and her body that just won’t quit have graced the cover of nearly every magazine and newspaper in the world? Or maybe, all you Britney-haters out there are simply jealous that she’s attained something so seemingly unattainable. Can we really hold it against someone for having it all?

This problem doesn’t just exist for Britney either. Christina, Pink, Shakira and a thousand other pop superstars suffer this same fate. I truly hope that if I ever become as ridiculously famous as these individuals, the public won’t rally up against me and create my own Official Un-Fan Club. My solution to this problem is simple, let’s just chalk them up to what they really are: people! Yes, I know it seems hard to believe but Britney and company came into this world the same way we did. They’re only human. They are simply people living out their dreams and instead of a full blown attack on them, I believe they should be applauded for being fabulous performers and for giving all of us some hope that we too could one day be living out our dreams as reality.

That’s the way I see it.
