A Look At “Pretty Little Liars: Season One”

“Never trust a pretty girl with an ugly secret.”

Following the premise of the popular book series by Sara Shepard, Pretty Little Liars (season one), tells the story of a clique of five girls: Spencer, Emily, Aria, Hanna and Alison–who seems to pull all the strings of the other four girls. When she goes missing, the girls go there separate ways. Until they start receving strange messages from “A”–a person who knows all their secrets and seems to see everything they do. They assume it’s Alison, until her body is discovered. But the messages don’t stop and the girls are brought back together in their common mission to solve the mystery.

Starring Troian Bellisario, Shay Mitchell, Lucy Hale and Ashley Benson.

Here’s the run down:

Action: Like any good mystery, this show has a ton of heart-stopping moments as the girls find themselves in increasingly more dangerous situations.

Romance: A story about a group of girls means a story about a group of guys, as well. Crushes, relationships, first loves, first broken hearts–a little of everything! My fave? Caleb and Hanna—still rooting for them to work things out!

Humour: Sarcastic, and sometimes not the brightest, Hanna provides a nice amount of comedic relief, but other characters, like Hanna’s friend Lucas, are both hilarious and heart-warming.
