Stay grounded. Don’t be afraid. Live with the moment.

An artist of the next generation, Holland’s Esmée Denters was discovered on YouTube by none other than pop-legend Justin Timberlake. From boy bands, to SNL skits; Shrek voice-overs, to top restaurants; clothing lines, golf tournaments and, of course, his certified-platinum and Grammy-winning records, JT clearly has the Midas-touch—so Esmée is bound to be on her way to gold.

Esmée remembers meeting Justin for the first time: “I was so nervous. I remember walking in, seeing Justin there—I didn’t know what to say, what to do. So, I just kinda went over to the piano. We talked a little bit and then I just asked him, ‘Is it okay if I just play you a song?’ I’m here in the U.S., a little girl from Holland. This is my shot, so I just went for it. I sang ‘How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore?’ by Prince, and a month later, I was signed.”

After being the first artist signed to his new label, Tennman Records, Esmée began writing songs with Justin and eventually produced her debut album Outta Here; their collaboration includes a duet on the track “Casanova,” as well as his presence and style throughout many others. The first single, “Outta Here,” has already appeared in an episode of The City.
