Take night classes

Not too far in the past you’d be stuck in the job that you’re in, with no chance of going to college to better yourself in your career because you’re working. However, colleges now offer night classes for parents and people that work full time so that they’ve also got a chance to pursue the career of their dreams. It might take a little longer than originally planned to get the qualification that you’re after, but at the end of it all you will be able to change careers without landing yourself in a huge pile of debt. Check to see if your desired college offers night classes and sign yourself up!

Do online courses

Another way to pursue the career of your dreams, but with much less effort in the sense of travelling to and from college, is by taking an online course. Even careers such as nursing now offer an online msn program so that becoming a nurse and completely changing your career path is now easier than ever. The great thing about being able to do a course online, is that you can do it from the comfort of your own home, and at a pace that you can manage. So, if you were to say, use your evenings and weekends to complete your course, with the addition of any extra days off you’ve got, you could ideally pass the bar at 16 months! Look at apprenticeships

Sometimes the job that you’re in is simply too much, and it’s understandable that you’re looking to get out as soon as possible. In cases like these, apprenticeships are the perfect solution. This is because you’re able to quit your job sooner rather than later, and go straight into paid work within the career you’re interested in. Bare in mind though, apprenticeships are often paid much lower than you’d expect, so be prepared to make up the income elsewhere. However, apprenticeships often have a secure job waiting for you at the end of your training, which means that not only have you gained a new qualification, you’ve also landed yourself the job of your dreams (or close, at least).

Build your own empire

Finally, if none of the above options seems like a viable option for you, what’s stopping you creating your own empire? Sit down and think of a business within the career path you’d like, and go for it! Life is short, and we’re sure that you don’t want to wind up regretting not taking the bold move in the future. Plus, having your own business gives you more flexibility with working hours and control over your general life!
