Vanessa Morgan, the 20-year-old singer/actress, has already been seen on multiple movie and television sets, and has no plans of taking it easy any time soon.
Best known for her role as Sarah in the hit Disney channel movie (and now TV show) My Babysitter’s a Vampire, the dark haired beauty even landed herself the role playing a young Halle Barry in the film Frankie and Alice! With action films on the mind for future projects, Vanessa Morgan is overflowing with confidence and won’t stop until she reaches the stars!
What are some genres of movies that you would be interested in pursuing in the future?
I would love to do an action film with fight scenes; kind of like batman or transformers!
On a scale of 1-10, how stressful is a career as an actress?
I’d rate it a 7! It is really fun, but definitely does have it’s stressful moments. You don’t want to disappoint the producers, writers or fans, and if a scene is more challenging it can definitely cause some stress. You also never know when the next job will be and auditions are always pretty nerve racking!
What is one quality that every actor/actress should have to succeed in this industry?
Confidence! Don’t second guess yourself and do whatever feels natural!
How long does it usually take to memorize your part in a script?
I can memorize a page so fast now! Especially when you know a character inside out, it’s so easy to memorize what she would say.
Would you encourage teens to pursue acting, or would you say it’s too tough of an industry to break into?
If it’s their dream I would one hundred percent encourage them to give it a shot. Be confident and keep trying! You’ll never know if you don’t try and at least you gave it a shot!
