Do you perhaps recognize this face from ads for Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister or 2010 Olympic wear from the Bay? How about Degrassi: The Next Generation? For rising star Wesley Morgan, it was a great adventure landing the big gig playing Skander Hill, opposite Jennifer Stone, in Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars.
Moving from modelling into acting is something that Wesley has always wanted to do. When shooting with famed photographer Bruce Weber, he was told that he had a natural connection with the camera and should definitely take the stage—and that advice is what gave him the courage to start acting.
When asked to tell us his favourite part about filming Harriet the Spy, he replies simply, “Everything. Everyone has been fun. Big smiles on set, and we got the work done on time.”
And what is Wesley’s insightful secret to keeping everything together? “Take risks; you have to take risks…and never be afraid. Don’t hesitate. You have to just go out and do your thing.”
