Youth Day Toronto 2010

The event you didn’t want to miss (but probably did)!

 Youth Day Dundas Square
Youth Day was held in the heart of Toronto at Yonge-Dundas Square. It gathered close to 12,000 people to celebrate 9 hours of non-stop performances onstage. The Youth Day event is founded by Tylaine Duggan and it encourages young artists to find their passion in the arts, and provides a free venue where they can demonstrate their talent.

This festival was supported by many people, such as Chubby Checker, and it also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the release of his hit song “The Twist.”

But the support did not stop there. Many guests, such as the Flow 93.5 crew, Lil X, Ken Shaw from CTV News, Juno nominee Kim Davis and Nicole Holness from MTV Live came down to support the event for the youth. And we cannot forget about the amazing performances from the dance crews, by performers such as J.Perez, Jhevon Paris, Alyssa Rubino, Cookie Couture, Blake McGrath from So You Think You Can Dance, and more.

It was an amazing day from the free giveaways to the crowd, to the flag parade in the morning, to the festival conclusion at night.
