Zac Efron Explores Romance And Bromance In That Awkward Moment

that-awkward-moment-8

Nothing good ever comes after “so…”

This comedic screenplay follows the bromance of three best friends. Jason (Zac Efron), Daniel (Miles Teller) and Mikey (Michael B. Jordan) pledge to bachelorhood in support of Mikey’s recent and devastating breakup. Jason and Daniel are your typical bachelors, so they celebrate Mikey’s singleness the only way they know how—by hitting up bars.

Jason breaks their pact first when he brings home Ellie (Imogin Poots) and disobeys “man code” by seeing her more than twice in a week. But Daniel is also breaking the pact by getting closer to his friend Chelsea (Mackenzie Davis). Meanwhile, Mikey is trying to rekindle the flame with his ex.  Soon all three friends find themselves at the most crucial point in a relationship, a moment when “so where is this going?” becomes the most terrifying phrase in the English language.

Here’s the run down:

Comedy: From bad bachelor jokes to cheesy pick-up lines, this movie will have you laughing from start to finish.

Friendship: Only a true bromance will have guys passing around the beer and peanut butter chocolate ice cream after a tough day. They’re hiding their relationships from each other to respect their pledge of bachelorhood and to party together—what else are friends for?

Drama: Chelsea wants Daniel’s friends to know about their relationship, but he doesn’t want them to know he broke the pact. Ellie goes through a tough time and needs Jason to be there, but he hasn’t been in a secure relationship to know how to be there for her. If these boys don’t get their acts together, they could lose their girls.
