Make all of your pictures #InstaGood.
Love the Kardashian’s photo booth? Looks like fun! Now it’s your turn to dress your guests with mustaches, top hats, large lips and funky glasses with your DIY props. Faze shares our DIY tips and tricks so that your party will be the talk of the season.
You’ll need:
- Foam or cardboard
- Spray adhesive
- Prop print outs
- Scissors
- Pencil sticks
- Hot glue gun
First things first, yo u have to find what props you’ll like to have in your booth. There are a couple of websites that will share their prop images with you, but you can find large images on search engines so that your props are one-of-a-kind.
Make the images as large or small as you’d like. Tip: The idea of props is that they don’t fit perfectly, so a rule of thumb would be to size it bigger, or smaller, than you think it should be.
Print your prop pages and cut them out.
Using adhesive spray, stick your props onto the foam or cardboard. Using the adhesive spray is a must because glue isn’t strong enough. We’d suggest placing the images in a cardboard box, image facedown, and then spray the adhesive on the back, then stick the foam/cardboard down. This would stop the glue from flying everywhere. If you do happen to get glue on you, you can easily remove it with oil (olive oil, grape seed oil, Moroccan oil—whatever you have).
Have the images on foam/cardboard sit overnight.
Cut them out around the edges.
Using a hot glue gun, attach the pencil sticks to the bottom right-hand corner of the image. Tip: Placing all the sticks on one side with each item (either the bottom right-hand corner or the bottom left-hand corner) will make your props look like a unified collection.
If you have hats in your collection, bedazzle your crown or top hat with adhesive gems for an added touch!
