Moreover, in August, Bianca was voted Player of the Month in the WTA, after an undefeated month, and her victory in the Rogers Cup in her hometown of Toronto.

With her stunning summer run, Andreescu became the first Canadian to wins the Rogers Cup in 50 years, and the first woman or man from her country to win a Grand Slam single title. With the win she moved up further in the WTA rankings, and is currently the No. 5 player in the world

Ashleigh Barty is No. 1 with 7096 points, followed by Karolina Pliskova, Naomi Osaka, Elina Svitolina, and Bianca Andreescu with 5041 points in 17 tournaments. With her results for the year she has secured a place in the exclusive year-end WTA Finals tournament taking place at the end of October in  Shenzhen, China. It’s another amazing achievement for a player who is only 19 years old, and she will surely be bringing talent and tenacity to every match in the tourney in hopes of winning it all.

The WTA Finals in 2019 has moved in Shenzhen, China, and it’s the 49th edition of the singles, and the 44th of the doubles competition. Between 2014 and 2018 the event was hosted by Singapore. The tournament will start Sunday, Oct 27th, with the finals to be played on Sunday, 3rd Nov.

The WTA Finals only sees the eight best singles players, and eight doubles teams qualify based only on their 2019 points. For now, 7 players have qualified, the 8th has to come. Bianca Andreescu

Bianca Andreescu is very prepared for this important next step of her career, by continuing to work to improve at every training. The oddsmakers at the online betting agencies like Unibet for example, have not set yet the odds for the WTA Finals, they are still waiting for the 8th player. However, Bianca will likely by one of the top three favorites to win the trophy.

It’s an interesting fight for the trophy because there is more than one favorite single player. With several very strong players, is more difficult then usual to guess who will win the tournament. The Shenzhen WTA Finals is set to offer the largest prize in history, the winner could take home $4.7 million! Steve Simon – the chief executive officer of WTA pointed out that it will be the biggest prize and now could be the first time in tennis when women are paid better than men.

One of the strong favorites to win the trophy is Naomi Osaka, after her win against Ashleigh Barty in the China Open. As you have read above, the fight will be interesting, due to the quality of the players, so Ashleigh Barty being No. 1 is among the favorites, joined by the Canadian teen Bianca Andreescu. After back-to-back success defeating Serena Williams, Bianca Andreescu bring a lot of confidence and has good potential to take the WTA Finals. Karolina Pliskova, Simona Halep, Petra Kvitova and Elina Svitolina have had excellent seasons as well, and have deserved their spots in  Shenzhen. Naomi Osaka also has a great opportunity to win the tournament, because she performs particularly well on hard court. A win in Shenzhen will give her an important morale boost for next year’s Grand Slams after not making the finals of the last three Slams of the year. We need to wait to see who will be the 8th player, currently Serena Williams is in a battle to hold the last Shenzhen spot.
