If you love to travel, enjoy trying new foods and want to discover exotic cultures that guarantee Insta-worthy moments, then you need to experience Carassauga, the largest multi-cultural festival in Canada.
Since its inaugural event in 1986, which began with 10 pavilions over two days, the Carassauga Festival has blossomed into a three-day cultural extravaganza. In 2018 the festival hosted 944 performances, had over 400,000 visits, highlighted 190 artisans, while showcasing over 70 countries. This year there will be 32 cultural pavilions including Africa, Columbia, Cyprus, Ecuador, Korea, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vietnam. With 21 stages and non-stop entertainment across 12 festival locations throughout Mississauga, Ontario this is a weekend-getaway that allows you to travel the world without leaving the city.

Carassauga is an incorporated non-profit volunteer community organization that celebrates, educates and engages the community to honour and highlight Mississauga’s multicultural diversity and landscape. Last year 6,395 volunteers helped create an unforgettable event.

Dixie Outlet Mall, one of Canada’s largest enclosed outlet malls and a must-visit shopping destination in Mississauga, will help launch the festivities with a kick-off parade on May 4th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with cultural performances taking place in the Dixie Living Room after the parade. You can also visit Dixie Outlet Mall’s booth at the festival on May 25th and 26th held at Paramount Fine Foods Centre, North parking lot. Hours: Saturday May 25th 12:00pm-12:00am, Sunday May 26th12:00pm-8:00pm.
