A Is For Aldo: Fragrance Launch

A is for ALDO

You can now shop for fragrance the same place you shop for fabulous shoes! On December 7, 2011, Aldo invited us, along with other media and taste-makers, to sample their new fragrance line, A is for Aldo, at popular event venue Andrew Richards Designs.

The five-piece collection is composed of three women’s colours (RED, YELLOW, and BLUE) and two men’s colours (RED and YELLOW). The idea is that each coloured scent suits a certain personality type, aka “your true colour.”

“Colours are like personalities,” says Douglas Bensadoun, ALDO Creative Director. “Scents can be complex, but everyone knows their favourite colour… It’s never been easier to find yourself.”

While nibbling on luxe appetizers like lobster mac and cheese and risotto balls, guests used a playful online application developed by Aldo to find their perfect colour match . Celebrity guest Alexandra Richards (daughter of The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards) DJ’d the night away as the fashion crowd posed for stylishly silly photo booth shots.

Attendees we know and (generally) love included Aliya-Jasmine Sovani, Ainsley Kerr, Sarah Taylor and the Stereos’ Daniel Johnson.

Bonus: these fresh new scents are actually affordable, starting at $15 for a 10ml bottle.
