Exciting news this week for the savvy shopper! Marshalls has opened a brand new flagship store in Toronto (382 Yonge Street) as of Spring 2013, as well as stores across Canada, including Vancouver, Winnipeg and Hamilton. Other locations in Quebec and Alberta will be opening their doors over the summer.
Toronto media were given an early taste of the new store–all 55,000 square feet of it–and invited to be the first ones to shop around the brand new surroundings. For the budget-conscious fashionista, this is what heaven looks like.
I found myself totally entranced somewhere between endless rows of some of the brightest coloured heels of the season and getting lost in the racks of cute summer dresses in the CUBE section, specifically for gals in their teens and early 20s.
But the best part is probably the price tags. For designer labels like DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Jessica Simpson and even some Pink Tartan, the Marshalls price tags are just a fraction of the original.
On a limited amount of time, I walked away happily, with a complete outfit from DKNY that would’ve otherwise run me more than $170 for only $80. And, trust me, I will be back.
So what does this mean for you? A great new location to source hot looks for spring, summer, back to school and beyond–they even have a home decor section that’s perfect for adding a little style to your dorm room–that won’t get you off track with your saving-for-college/car/travel/conquering-the-world plans.
Remember: you don’t have to spend a lot to feel fabulous.
Happy shopping…
