Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day: Q&A With Bella Thorne

You have to have bad days to enjoy the good ones…Welcome to Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

It’s the day before Alexander’s (Ed Oxenbould) birthday, and to say the least, it’s a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. But, his family’s day couldn’t have been better! His mother, Kelly Cooper (Jennifer Garner), is in line for a promotion at work; his brother, Anthony (Dylan Minnette), is about to go to prom with the hottest girl at school, Cecilia (Bella Thorne); his sister, Emily (Kerris Dorsey), has landed the lead role of the school play; and his dad, Ben (Steve Carell), finally has a job interview.

When the clock strikes 12:01 that night, Alexander makes his birthday wish in hopes that his family will know what it’s like to have a bad day – giving them the worst day ever.

Based on the book written by Judith Viorst, published in 1972, this family-fun movie will help everyone to appreciate the good days, as well as the importance of family support through the bad days.

Faze caught up with teen sensation Bella Thorne, who has been rather busy lately. Bella recently became a Candie’s girl, joined the Neutrogena family alongside co-actor Jennifer Garner and is excited to release her first book Autumn Falls on November, 2014. In this film, Bella plays Cecilia, who is the uptight girlfriend of Alexander’s brother, Anthony.

What about the script made you want to be a part of this film?

Bella: I really wanted to work with Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner, obviously! They’re amazing actors, but I loved the script and also read the book as a child.

What was working on set with Jennifer Garner like?

Bella: She’s very focused; when she’s on set, she’s studying her lines and working on her craft, and that’s very cool. I was getting out of hair and makeup, and she was just arriving and was like, “Whoa, why are you here so early?” When it’s 4:30 in the morning, that’s really early.

What is something you do that makes you feel better after a bad day?

Bella: I watch Netflix. If I am able to have that time, I like to go on Netflix binges. I can escape me for a second and go to someone else. I like to watch Bones, the new season of New Girl, and I’ve been watching a lot of movies lately.
